  I'm using regular expression to parse bookmarks file but looking for an alternative method.

I've downloaded and installed ZoeOS an editor and librairian for EMU samplers.
A great software writtent in java (JVM 1.4.2SE required). You can easily manage your E-MU sampler (E4 in my case), edit any parameter, arrange your samples,transfer data to/from your PC through sysex or SMDI.
The price is 129? but it's cheap regarding all the functionalities of the software and the environment that it provides to users.
