The Roots
The Roots are recovering after their double-decker tour bus crashed while traveling to Paris, where they were due to perform a support slot on Kanye West's European tour. There are no details yet as to the cause of the crash, but the bus apparently flipped on to its roof and landed on top of another van. Other than cuts and bruises and a couple of strained necks, everyone in the band and their crew is OK. Drummer and producer ?uestlove (pictured left with red sweater and scarf) sent a long e-mail to Okayplayer.com describing the night's events just an hour after the accident: "im like.... wait... am i even alive? like what if i "think" im alive when in actually im not like the movies? ----the next 2 minutes proved how alive i was for i managed to crawl through spaces and holes and broken shattered glass like a contortionist blindfolded .... when i got outside .....and looked at what i crawled out of? man. i just couldn't believe it. i mean ....how in the hell did we experience this? how did we manage to ....man ..... dog we are soooo alive right now."
